Seattle OPS Weekly Groups & Drop In Times

Tuesday - Drop-in Hours: 1pm to 6pm

Movement & Mindfulness: 1pm to 2pm

Join us every Tuesday from 1-2 pm during our drop-in hours for an empowering session of Movement & Mindfulness!

Let's explore the transformative techniques of Integrated Movement Therapy (IMT) to find healing and inner calm.

Integrated Movement Therapy is a method specifically designed to create positive, long-lasting changes in both the body and mind through intentional movement.

During these group or 1 on 1 sessions, we take the time to check in with ourselves, to ask what we truly need from this present moment. Through guided movement exercises and conscious breathwork, we ground ourselves and quiet the mind, fostering a sense of stability and peace.

Particularly beneficial for those dealing with anxiety, triggers, or panic attacks, Movement & Mindfulness helps us stay connected to our bodies, supporting us in finding solace and strength. These practices not only calm our nervous systems but also teach us valuable skills for self-soothing.

Our Movement & Mindfulness sessions are held at OPS, located at 112 SW 157th St, Burien, WA, 98166.

Art Workshop: 3pm to 5pm

Join us this Tuesday from 3-5pm for an art workshop that explores the incredible potential of art to help survivors reflect, heal, and find their inner strength.

During this workshop, survivors will come together in a supportive and safe environment to engage in a variety of artistic activities.

These activities provide opportunities for self-expression, reflection, and connection with others who can offer empathy and understanding on the healing journey.

Together, we can explore the vast potential of art to not just heal wounds but also ignite resilience and empower each survivor on their unique healing journey.

Our Art Workshop sessions are held at OPS, located at 112 SW 157th St, Burien, WA, 98166.

Community Dinners

Join us for our Community Dinners every Tuesday and Thursday from 5-6pm.

We invite survivors both in and out of the life, to gather at OPS for delicious dinners.

On Tuesdays and every other Thursday, we offer convenient takeout options to sit down and enjoy family-style at OPS.

Twice a month, on Thursdays, Carolyn Sands and her company Generations generously donate delicious home cooked meals to our community dinners.

These Thursday community dinners cater to all dietary preferences, offering a range of options including vegetarian and gluten-free choices.

Every meal is carefully labeled, ensuring you can make the perfect selection for you.

In addition to the mouthwatering main courses, we serve a variety of fresh salads and sides to complement your dinner.

To cultivate life skills and self-confidence, we have a few simple rules for our community dinners:

  • Wash your own dishes and place them in the dishwasher once you're finished.

  • Enjoy your meal at the table and kindly wipe off your area afterwards.

By doing so, you help speed up the cleaning process at the end of the evening.

Tattoo Brand Coverup & Removal Program

Traffickers wield tattoos, burns, and cuts as tools to assert control and dominance. However, at the Organization for Prostitution Survivors (OPS), we stand alongside survivors and offer a path to heal, reclaim, and rewrite their narratives.

In collaboration with Robyn (@inkbyrobyn), OPS proudly presents the Seattle OPS Tattoo Coverup Program. This groundbreaking initiative, headed by Kara our Digital Marketing Manager and supported by talented local tattoo artists, provides survivors of the sex trade with the opportunity to cover up their brands free of charge.

At OPS, we understand the immense significance of removing these haunting reminders and reclaiming autonomy over one's own body. Our branding removal resources and services have been thoughtfully designed to empower survivors, fostering resilience and hope amidst the shadows that trauma creates. We acknowledge the impact of these traumatic experiences and approach our tattoo coverup and removal program with a trauma-informed perspective, ensuring that survivors feel safe, understood, and in control throughout the process.

The program offers two options: tattoo coverup and complete tattoo removal. We have partnered with six compassionate local tattoo artists. These talented artists are committed to assisting survivors in transforming their old brands into beautiful, empowering pieces of art. Should survivors choose to fully remove their tattoos, we also provide a program that covers the cost of tattoo removal.

Here's how the Seattle OPS Tattoo Coverup Program works:

1.     Intake Form: Interested parties can start by filling out our Intake form. This enables us to gather essential details and ensure a personalized and tailored experience.

2.     Collaboration with Robyn: Once the form and accompanying photos are submitted to Kara & Robyn, our dedicated coordinators, they will review the submissions and share them with our group of tattoo artists. Cooperation and communication are key as we navigate this journey together.

3.     Artist Selection: Robyn skillfully matches survivors with tattoo artists based on factors such as tattoo size, desired style, gender preference, and availability. Each survivor's journey is unique, and we strive to provide the best possible match for them.

Our Seattle OPS Tattoo Coverup Program is a testament to our commitment to survivors. By offering compassionate services and empowering experiences, we believe in the power of healing and reclaiming autonomy. Together, we can help survivors create new narratives and define their own identities beyond the tattoos that once symbolized their exploitation.

If you or someone you know is interested in participating in this program, please reach out to us through the provided Intake form. We are here to support you every step of the way.
