Organization for Prostitution Survivors

A social service agency and an agent of social change

About OPS

The Organization for Prostitution Survivor’s mission is to accompany survivors of prostitution in creating and sustaining efforts to heal from, and end, this practice of gender-based violence.

OPS is survivor-founded, survivor-led, staffed predominately by survivors, and we elevate survivors in all we do.

OPS is a 501c3 non-profit organization (45-5153408)

The Organization for Prostitution Survivors Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

The Organization for Prostitution Survivors (OPS) is committed to welcoming people of all identities, cultures, and backgrounds, with a focus on serving female-identifying individuals affected by commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) and trafficking. As a survivor-led organization, our mission and values are rooted in empowering individuals and fostering justice, healing, and resilience within our communities.

We recognize that racism, colonialism, and other forms of oppression continue to harm and marginalize many, and we are dedicated to cultivating trauma-informed, justice-centered relationships that uphold dignity and respect. OPS does not tolerate any form of bigotry within our community. We take proactive steps to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all who engage with us as we work toward a world free from exploitation and violence.

Land Acknowledgment for The Organization for Prostitution Survivors

The Organization for Prostitution Survivors acknowledges that we work and gather on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the Duwamish Tribe. We honor their enduring care and stewardship of this land and recognize that it remains the unyielded territory of Indigenous Peoples who have lived here for generations.

As a survivor-led organization, OPS is committed to empowering individuals affected by commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking. Our mission extends beyond healing; we seek to model resilience and leadership within the anti-trafficking movement, providing essential pathways to recovery through trauma-informed care. We understand that the systems of exploitation and violence we combat have deep historical roots in colonization, including the ongoing dispossession of Native communities. We strive to meet the complex needs of survivors through support and empowerment. We extend our deepest respect and gratitude to the Coast Salish communities—past, present, and future—as we work toward a vision of justice and healing that includes all survivors and their communities.

OPS Updates:

We will be going on an Internal Operational Maintenance as an organization from August 11th-22nd. We will be pausing our hiring searches, drop-ins, groups and community dinners during this time period. Our hotline will remain open for resources only during this time period.
